This piece was a collaboration with Gavin Robertson for the exhibition After the Storm, held at the Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh in the John Hope Gateway Gallery between 1st December 2016 and 26/5/2017. It was one of 12 pieces made by the top designer-makers in Scotland using timber felled by Hurricane Andrea in January 2012. This cabinet is made from Atlas Cedar, Yew and Oak and is designed to reflect the sea level rise seen during the Japanese Tsunami as it burst the harbour walls.
