This coffee table was born out of an enquiry into the the successors of the Bauhaus. Werner Blaser was an architect and experimenter who was looking at high tech machining of components to make fine and elegant bar stock from wood. He made this shape to connect slender components for legs. Unfortunately the machines were not good enough in his lifetime to become a commercial success.
I loved the shape and found it made an elegant surface, particularly with different colours.
About 1oocm across and 30cm high in sycamore, elm and oak.
